Gretchen Hentsch-Cowles works with all areas of individual and relationship challenges; the breakdown of personal development, professional inter-relational dynamics challenges in the work place as well as “freezing” athletic and executive syndrome. Encouraging the expansion of self-worth in all areas is critical.
Depending on each client’s needs, Gretchen’s approach is tailor made, whether it be within the privacy of productive therapeutic meetings or within the courts for the benefit of the client. Each family member is considered to play a role in the emotional, behavioral and relational patterns with the family system. Gretchen’s approach allows for every member of the family to make changes and heal, as she doesn’t identify a single member as the scapegoat or “identified patient”. Gretchen’s clients include high net-worth individuals, families, sports celebrities, entrepreneurs and executives.
For over a decade, Gretchen has specialized in supporting families, executives, individuals, and couples facing PTSD and trauma, grief, anxiety, chronic pain, concussions, various phobias as well as neurologically-based challenges that limit motility.
Additionally, Gretchen is highly focused on coaching athletic and business individuals, who face hurdles and wish to take their talents to the next level. Gretchen is Korn Ferry Architect Certified as well as Benzinger Thinking Styles Assessment trained.
Gretchen's treatment approaches are guided by her personal experiences and understanding of recovery as well as her theoretical and clinical training, where she explores the emotional, cognitive, behavioral, spiritual and somatic systems, wherein unresolved past issues reside and often cause present life challenges.
Gretchen obtained her Master of Science in Family Therapy in Denton, TX, after studying Oriental Studies at Oxford University, UK. She grew up in Europe and Asia, and continues to enjoy traveling.
